Synchrony™ Firefly listens to music using the built-in microphone. Powered by an advanced neural network that synchronizes oscillations to music, it finds the beat of any music in real time. Synchrony tells you the tempo as it listens. It's great for finding the tempo of live or recorded music, and for practicing keeping a steady beat. It can also flash the screen or the flashlight to the beat, like a Firefly. Fun for concerts and for dance parties.

The GrFNN API is a software library that allows the simulation of signal processing, pattern recognition, and learning in the auditory system. Gradient frequency neural networks or GrFNNs for short, are networks of nonlinear dynamical systems that can be tuned to different natural frequencies. GrFNNs can be used to model cochlea, auditory brainstem, and auditory cortex responses to sound. Applications simulate human auditory perception including pitch, musical tonality, and rhythm.
The GrFNN API supports development under MacOS, Linux, Windows, and iOS with OpenCL and CUDA GPU acceleration on select platforms.
